Mikra'ot Gedolot (Rabbinic Bible), second edition (Venice, 1525 [רפ"ד-רפ"ו]); edited by Ya`akov ben Hayyim ibn Adoniyahu and published by Daniel Bomberg in four volumes. The genre known as Mikra'ot Gedolot typically contains the Hebrew biblical text with vocalization, accompanied by masoretic notes and treatises, Aramaic Targum, and medieval Jewish commentaries.
This particular edition is of great importance, because it served as the model and the starting point for subsequent editions of the Mikra'ot Gedolot. Its vocalized biblical text was similarly used as the basis for numerous editions of the Hebrew Bible. It was also the first attempt to publish a full, systematic edition of the masorah.
Technical note: This scan lacks an image on page 579; a blacked-out page appears in its place. A replacement for that single missing page may be found in a parallel scan here.
